
A 51-YEAR-OLD unemployed man was charged yesterday with walking around his home naked and exposing himself to others.
Lim Cher Neng faces charges for exposing himself on two occasions, both of which took place at his home at Block 278, Yishun Street 22.
The first incident took place at about 11pm on Dec 29. He could allegedly be seen walking around naked through his kitchen window.
The second incident happened the next day at 10.30pm, when he exposed himself to a woman in her 40s, again from his kitchen window.
If convicted, he could be jailed for up to three months, fined $2,000 or both for each charge.
Police said a total of 136 people were arrested for appearing nude in a public or private place in 2008.
In a case that happened in May last year, a 56-year-old taxi driver was fined $2,600 for being naked at home and exposing himself to neighbours.
His neighbour spotted him through an open corridor window.
When she and her husband confronted him later outside his flat, he splashed a pot of water at the woman.
In another case in March last year, a 60-year-old man was fined $800 for removing his clothes and masturbating by his window.
